Colossal goldfish worth its weight in gold highly desirable among goldfish collectors
Rocky could be Britain’s largest goldfish; and she is also worth her weight in gold. Due to her rare size and breed, she is valued at an astounding four figure sum of £4,500. The oranda is native to Japan and China, and is characterized by a prominent growth on its forehead—like a little bonnet, also known as wen or crown. This bulbous growth on the forehead, may sometimes envelope the whole head except for the eyes and mouth. But if it grows too big, it can also cover the eyes, impeding the fish’s visibility.
Each oranda goldfish is different from one another and has it own distinct character and temperament, which make this breed interesting to own as a pet. Fishes like Rocky are regarded as incredibly desirable among the most discerning of goldfish collectors.
