This couple was not ready to have a baby yet, so they turned to the contraceptive method of implanting an intrauterine system (IUS) hormonal zinto the mother’s womb. According to NHS, the IUS 99.9 percent effective in preventing pregnancies. But this couple became part of the “0.1 percent”, when their cute little baby boy was born in April.

Lucy Hellein and her husband from Texas, parents of two adorable children, were serious about family planning, so in August last year, they decided to use the IUS or Mirena coil as contraception. This was Lucy’s third time using Mirena and she said she never had any problems before.

But super-surprisingly, just four months after the Mirena coil was implanted in Lucy’s womb she got pregnant. Everybody was surprised to find that the Mirena coil failed. Her doctor believes that she may have gotten pregnant three weeks after the coil was placed.
